Think of this event as a great big Show and Tell Display. It will be open on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until the end of the banquet at 8:30.
The display will include items made during the weekend as well as figurative art, which delegates bring for the display. Please bring your favourite creation, the one you found most challenging, the one which was the most fun to create, the one of which you are most proud, or one using a special technique or material you think will be of particular interest to other doll artists, etc. There is a limit of 3 large pieces of figurative art (dolls), including pin dolls) or 5 or 6 small pieces of figurative art or dolls (including pin dolls) per delegate.
This display will be lots of fun plus a great opportunity to learn from and share with your fellow figurative artists. There is room for all! Both original designs and ones made from patterns are eligible. If using a pattern, please remember to give credit to the designer.
To add to the sharing and learning you are encouraged to supply with each piece you wish to display a short text describing its special features (a special technique, source of inspiration, something new you learned, etc.).
A format for organizing your text will be available soon.
Stay tuned for more!
