With the dizzying range of materials, techniques and tools available to doll artists these days, many of us are having difficulty keeping up. Do you have something you’ve always wanted to try or products in your stash that you have never tried because you aren’t quite sure how to use them? Well, we have help for you.
There will be Hands-on Demonstrations following dinner on Thursday evening. These demonstrations are fun little projects for you to work on using new products and techniques.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the Creative Play Station will be open and there will be more demonstrations and lots of materials and equipment for you to try. This will be an opportunity for delegates to play and experiment…In some cases the products and techniques will be completely new to you and in others well-known techniques and products will be used in new and different ways. The demonstrations will be similar to the Thursday night after-dinner demos but less structured and formal. There will be materials to play with and someone who is familiar with the materials and techniques to help you. Topics and times for the key demonstrations will be posted in the Hospitality Suite. Just drop in and take part.
Among some of the products and techniques you will get to try are new clay and clay-like materials, paper and cloth bead-making, new ink and paint products, new embellishing techniques, felting and embroidery.
